A Guy in the Dark Room

In a dark room, a guy
lying in his bed
while the world moves
past him. He tries
to smile and think
but no good memories come.

He is engulfed, in
silent outrage by emotions
he must, want to keep.

Sadness lingers in the room
like darkness lingers
in the night, as everyone sleeps,
He is awake hoping the phone would ring.
